An Interracial Love Story

"An Interracial Love Story"

Doris was waiting impatiently for Michael's flight to land. He had left for Boston only that morning to visit his mother on the weekend. They planned to marry, and Michael's mother had to be informed about the happy event. But suddenly he had called up Doris in the afternoon and informed her that he was coming home that evening and they would have dinner together.Michael's flight landed and when he had collected his hand bag and passed the security check point, they left the airport. Doris was driving as Michael seemed a bit distracted.

He was content to sit by her side occasionally giving her deep searching looks and running his finger through her jet black curly hair.

Doris had clear dark brown skin and generally considered pretty. She came to study in New York from her native land Kenya, and met Michael in University. They made a contrasting couple for Michael had blonde hair and blue eyes. Doris loved Michael madly and just now she was deeply worried about him. Probing gently, she found that Michael and his family had disagreed violently regarding his marriage plans. His elder sister Elle had not even wanted to believe that he could love a dark skinned girl and had used abusive language to describe Doris. Michael had come back vowing never to meet his family again in future.

After they reached home, Michael went to have a shower and freshen up and Doris quickly grilled steaks for their dinner. Once they had dinner, they decided to get married within the next couple of days. Doris was sorry that she was the cause of Michael's break with his family, but realized that with love they could overcome all obstacles in future. The day ended for them with prayer on their lips and hopes in their hearts for a happy and bright future together.

Love is an emotion that transcends all boundaries of race, caste and creed.
Love does not see the color of the skin, nor the social status of the person. The all pervading emotion is very pure and it can stand the test of time, if the need so arises.
In the Western countries, many communities of different races reside. Therefore an interracial love story can be found anywhere.

A tragedy by fate:

About tragic love stories:

Tragic love stories such as those of Romeo and Juliet, Lancelot and Guinevere, Orpheus and Eurydice and Mark Anthony and Cleopatra are world famous. We have grown up to these tales and still live to those that are made into movies. No matter how old these stories are, they still make us sad for the lovers who were not destined to meet. Such epic love stories can be found in form of books. You will be engrossed while reading them and feel the pain that they went through. Many of the tragic love tales are made into historical plays.

Modern day tragic love stories too are not far behind with their emotional endings. Some of such tales are made into movies such as the tragic love story of Peter Parker; the Spiderman and Gwen Stacy. Suffering in the hands of destiny, Peter never gets his beloved Gwen, but what makes matters worse is her death. How can we forget the tragic tale in Titanic. The love story ended in a tragedy with Rose DeWitt Bukater losing her beloved Jack Dawson. There are many more of such modern day stories, which are known for their tragic endings. A lover may lose his/her beloved to the twists and turns of fate, but love thus conceived is immortal.

A tragedy by fate:

Several love stories may suffer a sad ending but tragedy strikes only few. One such story is that of a young girl named Maria. She was the only daughter in the family. At a tender age she lost her father in an accident. She had always been her daddy’s girl until the unfortunate incident at the age of 14. Her father was a businessman and had left a business set up to be taken care of. But she was too young to know anything about business. Fortunately, she had her cousin’s friend who knew a lot about business and volunteered to work for the company. The love story begins here. John as he was called by all was an intelligent guy. He was a meritorious student though lacked financial support from his family. His family had shifted from the countryside to the town recently and was struggling to manage their expenses in the city. John and Maria were quite fond of each other. He cared for her needs and loved her from heart and soul. Maria on the other hand had found her support in John that she had lost after losing her father. She loved him more than she had ever imagined loving anyone else. John made her finish school and start college while he strengthened the business with every passing day. He taught her the lessons and helped her with the tasks. Maria too learnt about her father’s business as John always said that “If I am gone, you will have to handle it yourself”, hearing which she got angry. The thought of losing John was too painful for her to bear.

Both were shadows to each other. They were happy to be in love. Maria’s mother saw the love growing and decided to announce their marriage. They got engaged to each other in a private ceremony. Everybody was waiting for their wedding to take place when misfortune struck. Two days before the wedding, there was an urgent assignment. The assignment was to be picked up by the manager who failed to appear on the day. Being the acting head, John himself offered to go and receive it personally. He drove fast to the place so that he could return on time for the bachelor’s party at his place. While driving on the highway, his car was run over by a speeding semi trailer. The sad news reached the lady when she was in her prayer room. Her whole world collapsed. The man she loved so dearly and was getting married to was dead just like her father. The love story that had matured over the years now lay in graves of John. Now, she remembered everything that he had said. The thought that made her tremble had come true. She had lost her beloved in the same way that she had lost her father. His love was all she was left with. A love that was immortal.

Love is the best thing that can happen to you. Tragedy can strike this lovely thing brutally. Be it real life or classical love stories, the pain of a tragic love story is sure to touch anyone who reads or hears it.

Human beings can express what they want. This helps them convey their feelings, especially love to someone special. With a heart that beats strongly for someone, love is too small a word to define the feeling that has no boundaries. Stories happen when one knows this feeling. While some love stories are blessed to live by the Almighty, others are destined to immortality. No matter what, such tales are made in heaven and reborn on planet earth.

The blind love

The blind love

Martha was frustrated and angry when the doctor told her that she will not be able to see the beautiful world again. The car wreck hasn’t only wrecked her car but also wrecked her life. She is now sightless and of course, helpless. Before becoming blind she was working in an office and was efficient. She slipped into depression and stopped living.
On one such frustrating day she was sitting in a bench in the park near her house when a man came to her and started talking. Initially she panicked but eventually she befriended with the man. After that day everyday the man used to come and sit beside her and talk. Martha suddenly realized that she now looks forward for her evening walks to the park. Suddenly she isn’t all bitter towards her life. She opened her heart to the man she can’t see. Finally, one day she finds herself saying to the man that she likes him. When she finished, however, she found the man being quite. She felt herself panicking. Of course which man will like a blind girl? Nonetheless she urged the man to say something .The man took her hand into her and quietly said-‘I want you to know that you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. But if you know the truth about me you’ll hate me. I am the cause of your blindness. I was drunk driving the day I hit you. But I also want you to know that I loved you since the day I met you. I want to be with you and protect you and love you I want to compensate for my mistake by giving you all the happiness of life.’

Martha was outrageous at this confession. She was amazed at the bluntness of that man. It is because of him she is now blind. How could she allow tender feelings for him? She took her hand from his and started shouting at him; tears leaking from her blind eyes. She blamed him; called him names. The man said nothing. When she was about to go he said-‘Martha, I’ll wait for you tomorrow here at the same time.’

That night Martha couldn’t sleep. She was too angry to think. However, at the small hours of the night she dreamt about that man. She felt his warm hands upon hers. That day she returned to the park to find him waiting for her. She started to walk towards him-her heart content and full of love. She has now realized that the greatest treasure of life is love and she can get it only by forgiving the man.

Love is Blind

Love is Blind

In California lived a blind girl. She was blind since childhood and was sad about her shortcoming. No one wanted her except her boyfriend who loved her very much.
One day they got news from the health department that someone has agreed to donate eyes to the blind girl. The girl was excited knowing that now, after so many years she can see from her own eyes. She started making plans about her marriage with her beloved and danced with joy. On listening this, her boyfriend just smiled and hugged her.
The day arrived and the operation was a success. When she opened her eyes and called for her boyfriend, she got to know that he would not be able to come.
One day, her boyfriend returned to her. He had gone blind. He proposed marriage to her but seeing him blind she declined the offer. She said that now that she could see why would she marry a blind person and take the burden for life.
He went away brokenhearted and said “Take care of yourself and my eyes” before leaving. She did not know that the eyes through, which she could see now where her boyfriend’s.

愛.......從未離開過

他向她求婚時,只說了三個字:相信我;

她為他生下第一個女兒的時候,他對她

說:辛苦了;

女兒出嫁那天,他摟著她的肩說:還有
我;

他到她病危的那天,重複的對她說:我在這

她要走的那一刻,他親吻她的額頭輕聲說:你等我。

這一生,他沒有對他說過一次“我愛你”,但愛.......從未離開過。

If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.

This is a true story of Mother’s

Sacrifice during the Japan

Earthquake.

After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers
reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object. The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head.

With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.
He and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his had through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement,” A child! There is a child! “

The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son. When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.

The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone
inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen. It said,” If you can survive, you must
remember that I love you.” This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another. Every body
that read the message wept. ” If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.” Such is the mother’s love for her child!!

we have our earlier breakfast at the Mc D . of Gunung Rapat.....look at the way i warrupt the burger. haaahaaha , no choice i just love burger.

And on 24th 25th of september 2011 a group of friends , who share the same interest, who love to ride motorbike very much have raise and set a ride to Taman Negara via Kuala Koh , entry in Kelantan , at the beginning stage when the suggestion was raised , around 30 bikers from Ipoh wanted to join in the ride, so later when the words was passed around among biker friends, we received response from as far as Damansara, Puchong , and Kelang. And Finally the ride ends up to 45 bikers riding and 5 units of four wheels drive vehicles and 1 myvi saloon car , and the whole group of 61 persons in the parade.
The ride starts at Simpang Pulai town at the roll of shops opposite to the Balai Polis . just before the flag off time our ride captain give us a short and clear briefing on the safety and the ride route. minutes later a loud whistle sound blow off and the ride starts at 7.30 AM sharp. the riders ignite the bike engine and take off one by one.
The journey starts off with a 55 kilometers of climbing to the destiny at blue valley of cameron highland; which take us 90 minutes and we pull in to "Restaurant 88 " , here we stop for a break to have our morning tea and most importantly for the smaller petrol tank bikes to do their refilling of petrol; as we realized for the next part of the road i.e Jalan Gua Musang road cover almost 80 kilometers has got no petrol kiosk and there are no mobile phone services as well
and there isn't any houses or stalls along the road.while we are riding on this road , we hardly see any Orang Asli also.
The support car carry along the petrol for the bikes with smaller petrol tank; just to make sure they have sufficient of petrol to reach the next station.

shown bikers are doing their refilling.....

See, the Mobil Esso man ... Choong kor ; is telling us that petrol is sponsor by Mobil Esso, and his right hand finger is pointing to the logo of "Mobil" at his jacket.

After traveled a distance of 76 km at the Jalan Gua Musang , i.e from blue valley all the way down hill , at the foot hill , we reached a " T " junction, here to go to Gua Musang Town , we got to take a right hand side turn, here the signage showing Gua Musang & Kota Bahru....after turning right this route is D30 road. here we got to traveled another 18 km to come to our destiny Gua Musang Town area. in english which mean (Caves of Fox ); Along the D30 route we can see ample of signage showing the direction to the town. upon reaching the town we can see there are many big petrol stations of differ brand.; and we chosen a petronas petrol station ( because we don't find any mobil esso here ), we stop here to do our refilling again.

Shown the " T " junction at the foot hill , along the Jalan Gua Musang.

The signage showing us to turn right hand side , so to reach our next destiny , the Gua Musang Town.

view of Gua Musang Town
The town trade mark, big hill with lots of caves
de fox cave......by the side there situated the Rail station, with daily train service connected to others city.

This common and simple building is the Railway Station. ..for the last decade where the land road infrastructure was not so well develop , the Rail road play a vital role, the only entry to the town is through train. and the rail connected to other towns and cities.

On reaching the Gua Musang Town , the first thing we do is to stop at a petronas station to top up our bike. and at the same time we wait for all our buddies riders and support vehicles to check-in. 20minutes later , after everybody has refill and chit chating at the petrol station. Our captain look at his wrist watch and shouted " wow!!! already 12.00 noon." at this moment then only we realized, its time for lunch. here our captain again give us a slight brief and lead us to the restaurant, and for the muslim friends, they are being directed to the halal food court and for the non muslim we are being convoy to the chinese restaurant to try the famous river fish dishes. and after 90 minutes we are suppose to come back to regroup at the petrol station again.......so time passes very quickly, after 90 minutes later every riders are back and we continue with our journey.......

one of our support cars. there is a carrier on taut.

one of the many restaurants that served Fresh River Fish Dishes.
this is situated at the Gua Musang chinese new village.

one of the famous motor work shop at G M chinese new village.

In this village , we also noticed there is a Dobi service shop . can you imagine how they hang and dry their washed clothes and to save the water usage they even hang the big water pile to collect the rain water for washing purposes...

here at this kampong baru Gua Musang, in others places or other states it should be only the chinese are living in the new villages but here i noticed there are many residents here are malays and these two races live happily under one shelter.
Dont forget here is Kelantan State, the governance is PAS.

parking lots for the chinese food court.

signage advice by the political parties , on the safety of riding your bike with words :put ON your safety helmet .

and at the entrance to the village, i saw the chinese temple stood side by side to the muslim mosque.....from the picture we can noticed that the Temple are much more elegant than the muslim mosque and yet this is in existence at a islamic state of Kelantan.
may be this can tell a bit about PAS are not as you think .
At this township, we come to know that Gua Musang is a town consisting of Bandar Baru ( new town ) , bandar lama ( old town ) and a Kampong Baru (village ), here the majority are malays who lives at the near by kampongs. and the chinese here are mostly hakka.

From here , we take off and heading to route 8; we traveled 42 kilometers away and we reached a small kampong along the road, here we see a road signage written " Jalan Felda Aring " with an arrow pointing to turn right. when only after turning to the right then only we can notice a sign board with KUALA KOH 44 km.
thats why i say we got to be a bit careful here , just in case many of us will miss the turn here and lost our way to the destiny.

when only after taking the right hand side turn , i.e here then only we see the better signage to our destiny.

at last when you see this sign , then you have peace of mind ...saying that you are on the right track.

here stated 44 km to reach kuala koh

here we got to be very cautious , many of our riders went over shoot because they miss this turn and they go up straight , later i heard from them saying they have run another 30 kms over head then only they realize and ask the local folks , they are on the wrong direction which has been over runned., but we can't blame them, when only after you see the photo of how the sign board is being shown. hahahahhahaahahahah............. whose to blame ?
immediately after the right turn there you are , you will see another 100% clear and confident sign board showing there is another 44 kms to go.

Along the road here , we can see ample signage to the directions. and the condition of the road here is very poor, so we got to traveled with extra careful and maintain the speed slow , the road here is narrow and many sharp corners and pot holes, this is the detour road which passes by the Aring Felda Oil Palm Plantation, and this is actually a private road, belongs to felda, so its not like the trunk road which has been well taken care of by JKR. at the total of 44 kms takes us quite a long hour to finish, there is no choice cause we are new here. and also our ride captain have many time sound to us that " brothers !!! please be careful and bear in mind safety first " what a wonderful and care loving captain we have, for this ride.....once again i would like to say " Thankyou " Mr. Ride Captain.
Anyhow, by all means . the group manage to reach the destiny Taman Negara ,Kuala Koh , Kelantan safely in one piece and free from any accident and break down .........with GOD blessed !

some pictures showing the scenic of the road at the Aring Felda Oil palm Plantation.

At the Taman Negara ( The National Park ) , we reached and Mr. Jeffrey is arranging the check- in to the hotel rooms for us. there are 2 variety of rooms that we book ; the air-cond Chalets and the fan'ed hostel and some of us chose to sleep in the camp.we also brought 3 camps and plentiful of food and camping equipment with us.

After checking -in to the rooms , we shower and brushed up ourselves and the next to do is to find out more about the out door activities like jungle trekking and Canopy walk way , which we have been so anxious to know about. so now is the adventurous time ..

The trek.

At 7.30pm, we set this time be our dinner time. we had our dinner at the cafe . the kitchen served rice and 3 dishes at buffet style with fried cabbage , chicken fried with chilly leaves and fish in the spicy sauce, beside that we also have some water-melon as after meal fruits.....
After our dinner the show time of the nite is at the camp site, we have our camp fire jamboree , we served beer and steam boat with tomyam soup, and plenty of meat balls + veggie; sausages + noodles . guitar music and singing........we sang oldies and latest top hits, chinese and english. all rojak came in after a few cans of beers and wine , and blurry i even heard some guys are singing the Hakka songs with classical tune......and the fire burning till mid-night before we call it off........
The fire went off and we dismiss with laughter ,we back to our room to have our rest.

At the dinner table

Every one of us enjoy the food, see the plate is finish.

Sham is enjoyed as well

night view of the cafe

Everyone woke up very early in the next morning, as early as 5.00AM in the morning i heard the shower water dripping sound from the public toilet which is not so far away from my room. I wonder my buddies are the same like me; for me, the night seems very long hour, i just couldn't sleep at all , is not because i am anxious and excited ; most properly due to the sounds ( or should i say the music ) makes by the insects in the primary jungle; they are making sounds like the most wonderful orchestra music in the world. i was just enjoying the sound of music play by them; and if i am not mistaken, they are thousands of kinds of music instruments they are playing; even the owe and the wild boar are taking part in the orchestra, they play marvelous music. and if you really know how to appreciate it , tell you, not even the world academy award winners are comparable to the music they played. Haaaahahahahahahahah

At 8.00AM , the breakfast are ready.

After the river ride, we came back to the site to check out from the hotel and start off with our journey back home.

Now . as can be seen, we are packing up and are traveling back in the same road as we came, so this time we didn't stop as frequent as we ride here. but we did stop at Gua Musang for lunch, and also we stop at blue valley , at restaurant 88 for a rest due to the heavy rain. Anyhow I reached home safely and I brought back lots of happy moments, fun and joy that I found at the ride. Thanks GOD , Thanks my family, Thanks my friends and my riding buddies, and specially dedicated to the organizer Jeffrey and Yap Zai
